Library Databases and Additional Research Websites

Many questions can be answered by using your very own Kansas Library Card. Search thousands of periodicals for business, health, academic and additional research articles. Many full-text articles can be retrieved from the databases. We can issue you a Kansas Library Card that you can use at any Internet computer. We will also help you learn how to research the databases to save you time in locating your articles. Some of the databases available are: Business Resource Center, World Book Encyclopedia, Heritage Quest (genealogy database), Literature Resource Center, Custom Newspapers and Informe (Revistas en Espanol), HomeworkKansas. Additional research databases are also available.

Go to http://www.kslc.orgon any Internet computer (or come to the library) and you can issue your own card. During the next 30 days you will need to have your Kansas residency verified at the library.

    Kansas Library Catalog- Search all Kansas libraries by subject, title or author. We can request these materials for you by interlibrary loan. Ask us.

     

HomeworkKansas is an exciting online tutoring service featuring expert tutors from across the country.

Students connect to tutors for one-to-one homework help sessions in an Online Classroom. You can access HomeworkKansas, using your Kansas Library Card. Tutors are available from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.,

seven days a week and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday in Spanish (Sabado a Jueves en espanol). The tutors are certified teachers, university professors, graduate school students, students at accredited colleges, and professionals who are experts in their fields. All of the Live Homework Help tutors have received a third party background check and have been certified through the Tutor.com Training Program.
